these are the photos I [we] took at YorkU while working with York Hopistality. Some of them are just funny things we did while we got bored  .......and some are pics of what we usually did in YH......we did things like [spray-eng]....[scrub-eng]....[strip-eng].....[wip-eng].....[vacuum-eng]......[mop-eng]......when we were bored......[we] wrapped ourselves with toilet paper......climb the tree outside of residence while waiting for the lead hands to check the rooms.....throw myself into the Rubbermaid's bin and hd someone to push me.......make fire......secretly put some acorns in someone's else bag......took 1/2 hour break......took pics and videos like those u r seing right now......and etc.
I hv to admit that this job is boring sometimes......coz u keep doing the same things over and over again.....I gotta find ways to make it more interesting....by doing stupid and humorous things <but sometimes it was quiet irritating to someone>...haha.  ..........but the good thing is we have a fabulous team which consists of fantastic people  ........i am so glad to hv you guys working here together with me........

Toronto Zoo trip 2004 - SEP - 19

haha......we had waited for 3 months for this trip.....and we finally did it on SEP 19 2004........it was a sunny sunday morning.......samson drove his car....with jessica ( of course la they are couple mahz) sitting besides him....TL (Tien-Lyn) and Shuxia (SX) and EC (EngChuen) sitting at the back......they came around 1015am to pick me up from my house....then we went to this HK restaurant to have brunch ....I ordered macaroni with chicken soup + charsiu (this is very interesting... ...) with milk tea.....later on we got into our car and we were on our way to the zoo......it is not that far from the place we had our brunch....it was like 10 minutes driving.....we reached the zoo at around 1230pm.....we saw a lot of family with children....and it looked like we were the only 'youngster' at the zoo  ........
the zoo ticket is expensive.....$18 + GST ......there was no ticket....we just paid and the receipts were used as our tickets ..... we didn't even get the zoo's map.....we had to ask for that......and the funny thing was that....no one was checking our tickets at the entrance .......
we noticed that there would be an animal show at 2pm.....so we decided to walk around for a while....coz it was still early for the show......when we were at the reptile section of the zoo....it was already 2.10pm.....the show had started!  ...so we quickly rush to this 'coliseum' for the show......arh! the gate was lock (actually it didn't) ...... we were looking around for the zoo staffs so that they could open the gate and let us in.....but there was any zoo staffs around...we were complaining about it....coz we paid $18 and there is only 1 zoo show for that day......then samson found out that actually the gate didn't lock.....the padlock just happened to be there and it looked like the gate had been lock.......haha.....so...we 'unlock' the gate with our barehand.....and we got into the coliseum....so we sit there and waited for some wild animals to come into the show....
aih....you know what.....they only showed us 1 eagle....and 1 ferret...and later on was photo taking time.......TAT"S IT!!!  so so so 'giam siap"....cannot tahan!! tat's what they have in the zoo?? can't believe this.....
most of the animals were tired...I don't know why....they were sleeping all the time......can't really see them clearly......and the poor thing was that.....a lot of the animals...such as the giraffe and red panda were alone......they hv no friends and family...... 
we walked in the zoo for 5 hours straight.......we were so tired and hungry......
we went to metro square and had steamboat (the same one we hv been to last time) ...... ...
I reached home around 10pm.....

A trip to Niagara, March 5 2004

It was a fun and relaxing day ..... I still can remember what the temperature was .... [-3, -8 with wind chill, mostly cloudly]
Harold with MIki came and picked me up around 10:50am, then we went to Tien Lyn's place to pick her up. (we saw a dead pigeon when we turned into the loading bay of the condo ... we thought it was pepper....but it isn't...)
We left Toronto at 11.15am.....an hour later....we reached this small little town called Bronte ... It was the town where Harold used to stay when he first arrived .... he showed us where is Bronte College ..... and he also took us to the downtown and harbour .... we took a few pictures there.....and because of the cold weather....we couldn't 'tahan' anymore......so we decided to get into the car..... [ Bronte is a quiet city, which make it suitable for retired or old people, the city is small but CUTE! I really like the architecture there....and the air quality was much more fresher than that in Toronto] ....ohya.....we went to Tim Hortons .....Harold bought 3 banana muffins + medium French Vanila ..... I ordered 1 plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese + medium French Vanila ... we all shared this inexpensive 'canadian delicacy' together.....MIki loved that bagel.....it was her first time ...  .....Tien Lyn didn't eat anything.....she just can't stop laughing (will tell you why later)
then we saw this car....the same color and same model as Harold's 3series BMW ....parked right besides his car.....then 'someone' acted 'sampat'...go and tried to open the door....
ok.. next was a very annoying car ride ....'someone' keep on making annoying noises......   
an hour later....we reached NIagara-On-The-Lake.....we went to this Hillebrand Estates winery ....we spent 2 hours there.....tasting wine and seeing the wine production tour .... the tour was free.....and you got to taste 2 different ice wines ..... what makes an ice wine to have such a unique taste? well...according to this tour guide .... he said that the grapes that were used to produce this particualr wine is called VIDAL....and they must be harvested during this MAGIC MOMENT [when the temperature reached -10 .... exactly -10 ....no more no less  ] ..... in the morning around 4am-7am before sunrise..... Study week steamboat dinner

Steamboat Dinner @ Metro Square (me, tien lyn, jessica and sampsons) 6.15pm, Friday, Feb20th, 2004.
Things to remember:
-tien lyn and jessica got on the wrong bus
-eng chuen went there by himself but he ended up meeting tien lyn and jessica on the same bus ...
-but ... when we were approaching metro square ... eng chuen pulled the belt to request for stop ... tien lyn and jessica got down from the bus but eng chuen got stuck in the bus as the back door couldn't be opened ... eng chuen shout to the driver asking him to hold on but the driver keep going .... as a result...he stopped at the next stop and walked back to the earlier stop to meet tien lyn and jessica....
-sampsons was already in the restaurant waiting for us ...
-we all were very happy and satisfy with the foods....everything was so fresh and tasty.....
-eng chuen tried the HK-way of eating steamboat (breaking the egg into a bowl and mixing it with parsley and soya sauce) .....
-forget to mention about the free drink .... they have all kind of can drinks (mostly PC's brand) and soya drink there ...all FREE!

2004 CNY Gathering - Dinner ....

haha ... Gong Xi Fa Chai!
WE [me .... Jessica .... Harold ....Tien Lyn] had this little party on the 4th day of CNY ... coz we all were so busy on new year's eve .....well....we prepared a lot of malaysian foods ... each of us were preparing 2 dishes ....and that was why we ended up having too much foods .... which we couldn't finish at all ...... we had chicken currys .... sushi ... mushroom cicken balls ....seaweed stir-fried ... lettuce beef-wrap ... bak-kut-teh ....and ice kacang as dessert!!
